Around mid-February and there is speculation that The Libertines would appear at the Glastonbury Festival. Speculation arose because there are allegations band that consist by Pete Doherty and Carl West is not going to simply remove the opportunity to make money. They had previous reunion and this time was definitely going back to join in on stage. Unfortunately, the West who says they will not perform at Glastonbury broke this speculation.
“Reunion at Reading and Leeds alone is more than I can imagine and it makes me understand and realize how much our influence on a generation,” said Carl West as reported by Splash News. At the same time, the Western Carl also said that now he and Pete Doherty are equally busy and cannot be one of the Glastonbury Festival performers.
“When the time comes gladly do it again, but Pete Doherty and I was equally busy doing other activities. This does not mean we’re over; we’re just waiting for the right. The next reunion will be something special,” said Carl West again.
Speculation that The Libertines would appear at the Glastonbury festival is indeed based on the fact that the band gets paid 1 million pound sterling as they appear at Reading and Leeds and they could not resist the opportunity to make money again in the near future.
